Truffettes de France Settlement

A proposed settlement has been reached in a national class action lawsuit involving Truffettes de France products sold in Canada. 

If the Superior Court of Quebec (the “Court”) approves the Settlement, it will: (i) resolve a proposed class action involving allegations made by the Plaintiffs that Chocmod Canada Inc. (the “Defendant”) violated laws regarding the marketing and sale of Truffettes de France products in Canada; and (ii) provide payment to eligible class members who purchased Truffettes de France products in Canada during the Class Period. 

The Defendant denies any liability or wrongdoing and no Court has made any finding of wrongdoing by the Defendant. 

The Court has authorized this lawsuit as a class proceeding for the purpose of settlement only. The Court has scheduled a Settlement Approval Hearing date for November 3, 2026. 

To receive payment, you must file a Claim Form by November 4, 2026. Claim Forms are available on the Important Documents page 

By filing a Claim Form, you will be giving up your rights to sue the Defendant over the allegations made in this lawsuit. If you wish to preserve these rights, you must take steps to “opt out” of the Settlement by September 5, 2026. Instructions for opting out of the Settlement are contained in the notice and the Settlement Agreement, which can be found on the Important Documents page. 

The notice has been approved by the Court. Its purpose is to provide Canadian residents who purchased Truffettes de France products with information about this lawsuit, the Settlement, and their legal rights and options (summarized on the FAQ page) before the Court decides whether to approve the Settlement.
